The Echelon Racing League will consist of 20 men's and 20 women's teams, featuring the top Professional and Domestic Elite teams from North America. The league will also feature a select number of esports and international teams from as many as 11 different countries.
Up to four wildcard teams will be selected to compete in each race throughout the series. Selection will be based on race-in events.
The Echelon Racing League is working in collaboration with the National Association of Professional Race Directors and USA Cycling to host in-real-life Pro Road Tour and national level events on the RGT Cycling virtual platform. Races will be contested on courses that emulate those raced during the in-real-life (IRL) events.
The league will use the series to support and promote IRL events and their communities.
Amateur & Community Events
Professional cycling does not exist without the support, enthusiasm, and engagement of its fans and the greater community. As such, the Echelon Racing League will work in collaboration with IRL race promoters to host community ride events.
The league is collaborating with USA Cycling and IRL promoters to host amateur race events that parallel the professional races, their courses and distances. This is your unique opportunity to compare yourself agains the pros like never before.
What Makes The Echelon Racing League Unique?
The Echelon Racing League is the first of its kind and is in a league of its own. Serving as a conduit to strengthen the overall cycling community, the league will bring virtual and in-real-life riders and racers together to ride on real roads. Furthermore, the league has been designed to enhance the reach, influence, impact, and connectedness of riders, teams, race promoters and international governing bodies as a means to grow the sport of cycling through an innovative, sustainable, and scalable model.
